Tribute to Mama - Lady Bishop Naana Addae - Mensah
Lady Bishop Naana Addae-Mensah was a woman of unshakeable faith and extraordinary sacrifice. Standing faithfully beside our Papa, Bishop Addae-Mensah, she helped build a ministry that brought healing, hope and restoration to countless lives.
Her passion for prayer, her leadership amongst women and her commitment to seeking God even in the quiet of the forest left a lasting mark on all who knew her.
The spiritual nourishment Mama poured into us was like oxygen - essential, refreshing, deeply sustaining, and grounding in every season. We will never fully find the words to express how profoundly Mama shaped our lives. What we do know is that because of her, our faith found deeper roots and our lives found clearer directions. Mama didn’t just preach to us. She walked with us, lifted us and shaped the way in which we see the world through Gods’ eyes. We carry this with us forever, and our gratitude will never fade.
Mamas’ beauty wasn’t just found in her appearance, but also her presence. Her kindness, availability and genuine love lifted many and moulded us into who we are today. Her legacy of prayer, compassion, and service will continue to inspire generations. Mama, you will be deeply missed and forever cherished. ❤️ Rest in eternally peace.
Lovingly remembered by Apostle Jane Darfour Okai and children.

Tribute to Lawrencia Sarpong
Today we remember Lawrencia — a beautiful soul whose presence made this world softer, warmer, and brighter.
Lawrencia wasn’t just a friend; she was a light. The kind of person who could walk into a room and shift the energy without even trying. Her laugh was infectious, her smile comforting, and her heart… her heart was pure. She loved deeply, cared fiercely, and gave without expecting anything in return.
She had a way of making people feel seen. Truly seen. Whether through a simple conversation, a shared joke, or a quiet moment of understanding, Lawrencia made you feel like you mattered. And that is a rare gift.
Though she is no longer here in the physical sense, her spirit lives on in the memories we carry, in the lessons she taught us, and in the love she gave so freely. Grief is the price we pay for love, and the depth of our sorrow reflects the depth of what we were blessed to have.
Lawrencia life, no matter how long or short, had meaning. She made an impact. She changed lives. She will never be forgotten.
We honour her not only by mourning her absence, but by living in a way that reflects the love, strength, and kindness she showed us.
Rest peacefully, Lawrencia.
You are loved. You are missed. You will always be remembered. 🤍

Maa as I affectionately called her was a Holy Spirit filled, prayerful, immaculate, gifted, open-hearted daughter of the Most High God.
Mama Addae - Mensah's love and care for my children (Chelsie & Emmanuel) and I had no boundaries.
Her office and home were always opened to me, all i had to do was to call her.
She prayed with us, offered advice, encouragement and above all showered us with gifts.
In my distress and pain, Maa was there for us.
When i fell ill with a serious eye condition that almost made me blind, Maa wouldn't sleep.
A very hearty, chatty humourous Maa, I can hear your voice and laughter. You were open and blunt with me, no sugar-coating. You were real.
Maa we prayed and trusted God for you. I remember vividly our last conversation, the laughter and you teasing your two other daughters in the Lord; Presiding Elder Rosemary Adam's and Reverend Rosemary Baah - Yeboah. Maa i was very very happy that day, believing that we were going to celebrate your healing in church but ...
The Only-Wise God said He needed you. Who are we to complain?
Death has laid its cold, icy fingers on a very beautiful, warm and kind -hearted person.
Mama, the good Lord gave you to us and in HIS wisdom has called you home to rest.
Chelsie & Emmanel say " Granny thanks very much for your love, care, prayers, advice and gifts. We will forever miss you. We love you Granny".
Maa, Obaatan Pa, yen dofo pa, Onyankopon ba, you will forever remain in our hearts. We love you dearly. Jehovah God grant you a
Peaceful Rest till we meet again.

To our beloved Lady Bishop Naana Addae-Mensah, my spiritual mother. Your departure has left a space in our hearts that only your unique grace once filled. I will miss our deep, winding conversations—where the shortest one still managed to last two hours...Hahaha!. Those moments of wisdom, laughter, and truth-telling were more than just talk; they were the tools you used to help chisel and shape the man I am today. In your presence, every thought was given room to breathe and grow, and for that gift, I am forever grateful. I will also miss the tangible flavor of your love—those scrumptious meals you lovingly prepared whenever there was a major church event. The feast was never just about the food, but about the devotion and care you poured into every dish, nourishing our bodies as you so consistently nourished our souls. Your table was a testament to your belief that fellowship and kindness are to be shared in every form, from the spiritual to the simplest, most delicious bite. Though our hearts are heavy, our spirits are resolved. We, your children, whom you loved and mentored with such fierce tenderness, have accepted the sacred charge to continue the legacy you left with us. We will carry forward your unwavering faith, your profound spiritual sensitivity, and your boundless kindness and compassion. In this promise, your light does not fade; it multiplies through our hands and our hearts. We will make you proud, Mother. Rest now, in eternal glory.

Tribute in Honor of Our Dearly Beloved Lady Bishop Mrs. Nanna Addo-Mensah “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15 With hearts full of sorrow, yet gratitude to God for a life well lived, we pay tribute to our dearly beloved Lady Bishop Mrs. Nanna Addo-Mensah, who has been called to glory. Indeed, the Scripture reminds us that precious in the sight of the Lord is the passing of His faithful servants. Mama lived a life of prayer, humility, and dedication to the work of God. She was a pillar of strength, a mother of faith, and a shepherdess whose counsel, love, and spiritual guidance touched countless lives. Though we mourn her departure, we rejoice in the assurance that she rests in the bosom of the Lord, crowned with eternal glory. Her legacy of faith, service, and godly virtue will continue to speak for generations. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Brother Gyamerah and Family

We gather with heavy hearts, yet with gratitude to God, as we honour the life of a devoted servant of the Lord, a Bishop, and a spiritual mother to many. She answered God’s call with humility, courage, and unwavering faith, committing her life to the work of the Kingdom. She raised her children with love, wisdom, and discipline, and that legacy lives on in the wonderful person my friend Alicia is today. Her nurturing spirit, quiet sacrifices, and unwavering support will never be forgotten. As a Bishop, she shepherded God’s people with wisdom, compassion, and authority rooted in love. Her teachings, prayers, and counsel transformed lives, strengthened faith, and drew many closer to Christ. She did not only preach the Word, but she also lived it. Beyond the pulpit, she was a loving mother, a mentor, and a source of encouragement. Her life was a testament to service, sacrifice, and obedience to God’s will. The impact of her ministry will continue to speak for generations. Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in the assurance that she has fought the good fight, finished her race, and kept the faith. We take comfort in knowing that she now rests in the presence of her Lord, whom she served faithfully. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may God’s comforting presence surround her family, the church, and all who were blessed by her life and ministry.

Aunty Naana or as she is popular known Lady Bishop Addae Mensah was an extremely nice lady and anytime she met my siblings (Nicole,Daniel and Prof) and I she was just excited and it was such a humbling experience to see such a great and anointed lady treat us in such a manner. As a sister to my mother mama Harriet I first saw her poster at Orion center with the esteemed Bishop Adde Mensah and remarked on how she looked so my much my like my mother. I remember a strong desire to meet her and the esteemed Bishop from that day. Meeting them both was such an honor and a blessing. The privilege of being knowing the Adda Mensah’s as family is one we hold in high esteem and the news of her passing really hit us hard. It was hard to believe and understand and still very painful as we are still reeling from the shocks of Fiifi our elder brother and our beloved grand ma. May the Lord strengthen the Adde Mensah Family and give her lovely soul rest . You’ll be missed mummy😔

Lady Bishop Naana Addae-Mensah will always be remembered for the joy she brought into our lives, especially during our time together at church. Sundays were never the same without her loving presence in Sunday School—she had a special way of making every lesson feel alive, filling the room with laughter, wisdom, and genuine care for each of us. Beyond church, she showed her love in the most thoughtful ways. During holidays, she would warmly invite us to visit, making us feel like family. Those vacations were filled with beautiful memories—trips to the beach, outings to fun places, and moments of pure happiness where we could relax, laugh, and simply enjoy being together. She believed in creating joyful experiences and reminding us that life, faith, and fellowship should be celebrated. Her kindness, generosity, and motherly spirit touched so many hearts. We are forever grateful for the love she poured into us and the unforgettable moments we shared. Lady Bishop Naana Addae-Mensah’s legacy will continue to live on through the smiles she created and the lives she nurtured. May her soul rest peacefully in God’s eternal embrace.

A Tribute to an Irreplaceable Mother, Spiritual Guide, and Beacon of Light. To our beloved spiritual mother, Words seem too small to capture the depth of gratitude and love we carry in our hearts for you. You were more than a leader you were a mother in the truest sense: nurturing, wise, prophetic, and endlessly encouraging. Your voice carried the gentle authority of heaven, and your words were like keys that unlocked hope, direction, and strength in the lives of so many, especially in mine. I still remember clearly the early days of 2009 when I first joined Gospel Light. I had just taken over the drums, feeling the weight of responsibility and perhaps a little uncertainty. Then you met me intentionally, lovingly and spoke words that became an anchor for my entire journey. You looked at me and said: “As you have taken over the drums and are playing, you must have it in mind that this is a calling to work in the house of God. Do it with your whole heart and fit in every moment of the service.” And then, with that quiet prophetic insight you always carried, you added: “Most of the people who played before you have all travelled. Keep that in your heart one day, you too will follow suit.” Mama, every single word you spoke that day has come to pass. I have seen doors open, journeys begin, and seasons change exactly as you declared. Today I stand and say with confidence and deep gratitude: all that you said has manifested. And I believe what still remains in my life, God Himself will fulfill in His perfect time, just as you taught me to trust. Then there was that sacred moment early in 2023 when you called me personally. You didn’t have to, but you did. With the tenderness and firmness of a mother who sees far ahead, you shared five priceless keys to success in life truths I have written on my heart and carry with me every day: 1. Never join the company of mockers 2. Be intentional about your decisions 3. Be intentional about your associations 4. Confess good things regardless of what you are going through 5. Take good care of your family These are not just words to me they have become a compass, a shield, and a daily guide. I am still learning to live them fully, but because you spoke them, I know the path is sure. You were a woman clothed in strength, dignity, and the fear of the Lord. Your encouragement made heavy seasons lighter, confusing moments clearer, and ordinary days sacred. You made life easier not because you removed the burdens, but because you taught us how to carry them with faith, joy, and purpose. My greatest regret is that our precious Dromo my son never had the privilege of meeting you, this beautiful soul whose love and wisdom touched generations. He will know you through the stories we tell, through the life you poured into his father, and through the legacy you left that continues to shape us. Yet even in this ache, we hold fast to the unshakable promises of our Lord: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”John 14:1–3 (NIV) And we take comfort in the blessed assurance: We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NIV) Mama, you have finished your race. You have kept the faith. Now you rest in the bosom of the One you loved and served so faithfully. May the Lord keep you tenderly until that glorious day when we meet again when every tear is wiped away and we will see you in the beauty of His presence. Thank you for every word, every prayer, every look of belief you gave me. Thank you for being the spiritual mother my soul needed. With all my love, gratitude, and honour, From your son, Okpoti and family(Michael and Obayaa Tackie Yarboi-Yartey) Rest well Maa, We love you forever.

I met Lady Bishop Naana Addae Mensah on an alnight service at Orion. At that time I didn’t know the name of the church. But I use to come to the service and saw her. I fell in love with her cos of her dance. She has a particular dance that when she makes that moves I laugh saaa and at times I copy that dance. So cos of her I decided to join Gospel Light International church. I always feel happy when I see her. I was her secret admirer but she never knew. I was married for about 6 years without a child. I have been coming for prayers and deliverance but still no show. One day Lady Bishop Naana Addae Mensah was calling out for those who need the fruit of the womb. I went forward and she embraced me and touch my womb with her womb and prayed, then after in a few months I got pregnant and gave birth to my only daughter Nicole Naa Momo Aryee. Mummy has been my source of inspiration. Whenever I get the time to come to church I always want to see mummy though I don’t approach her to talk to her but I feel some inner peace. But for some time when I come to church I don’t see her so I get worried and later learned she was sick. For this 2025 31st all night was approaching I said to myself that I will definitely see mummy cos it’s been a while since I saw her.But before 31st came I saw mummy’s picture on the church platform that mummy is dead, herrrrrrr I was so shocked and started tearing up. I’m one person that don’t cry when someone dies but I can’t hold my tears whenever I remember that mummy is gone. I’m tearing up as I’m typing. Mummy may your gentle soul journey well😭😭😭

I met Lady Bishop in 1990 in Kasoa at a time in my life when I was trusting God for the fruit of the womb. Through her prayers, her counseling, and her unwavering support, God blessed me with two beautiful daughters. Today, one of them is married and has a child of her own, a living testimony of God’s faithfulness and Lady Bishop’s intercession. Both pregnancies came with serious complications. There were frightening moments and uncertain days. Yet through it all, Lady Bishop stood by me. She was there in the labor ward during their births. When my babies were separated from me because of the complications, she brought breast milk to them. She cared for them as though they were her own. At a time when my own mother was in the United States and could not be physically present, Lady Bishop stepped into that space. She became a mother to me, not just in words, but in action. She supported me in every aspect of my life: my marriage, my children, my business, my faith, and my personal growth. There was no area of my life she did not pour into. She invited me into her home, but as time went on, it was no longer an invitation, it became my second home. I would visit her at home or at her office, and we would sit for long hours talking about life, faith, and everything in between. Sometimes she would cook, sometimes I would cook, and we would eat together like family. Those moments are treasures in my heart. Lady Bishop had a heart for humanity and for the Church. She was truly a mother, not only to me, but to so many. Even these words cannot fully capture who she was to me or the depth of what she did for me, for the Church, and for humanity as a whole. Her passing came as such a shock. Even now, it is hard to believe that she has gone to be with the Lord. Yet I hold on to the assurance that we will meet again. Until that glorious reunion, I trust that God will comfort those of us who feel the deep emptiness her departure has left in our hearts. Rest in peace, Mummy ❤️🙏 Da yie

I was born in Gospel Light International Church, basically that’s where I grew up from,my local name is Naana which my mom gave to me after the lady Bishop’s name. The lady Bishop was a giver, I remember when I was a little girl she always gave me dresses and shoes so cute. That was her, She was a mother and a Giver. She also fought for us especially my mom Ma Dansoa when we lost both a husband and a dad. She always called my mom and prayed for her she is forever grateful. Hence although I left church based on one or two reasons she still gave me gifts, I remember in my university days when I was enrolling in level 100 she gave me cooking utensils to use in my hostel. Mummy was such a blessing to me. Not forgetting Daddy too,Daddy paid my fees all the way at senior high school and they both remembered me in prayers all the time, Every time I left Mummy’s office she said a prayer for me and always say “don’t forget Jesus “ I love you Mummy, when I heard about the shocking news I cried and doubted because I was hesitant about it. Also I remembered how you adviced me when I lost my dad in 2011 as little as I was your words were encouraging and you never neglected me as your daughter. You will forever be in my heart,May God keep you for me,I love you forever.

My Grandma🥺..I'm still in disbelief that she's actually gone to be with her Maker💔🥺,it breaks my heart each day knowing that I no longer have a grandma .Grandma had a lot of grandchildren, but I believe I was her favourite, I remember on my 7th birthday, she threw a party for me and she invited the kids in the neighbourhood and we had the best time of our lives .There was never a time that I would leave grandma's place without being fully loaded (emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially)Grandma was a joy giver, you would never be around her and be sad ,we(she and i) used to tease the people that were not named after her and she would be like "you people should go and find your grandma o" and we will laugh ,and in that moment I'd feel on top of the world..Grandma was firm and she always corrected me when I faulted, yet she was so loving and gentle and she pampered me so much even as I grew up and I know some people were jealous ,but yh that's the kind of woman my grandma was,She is,was and will always be the best Grandma in every lifetime,I couldn't have imagined my life without her as my amazing grandma..Even though I'm broken hearted 💔,I find solace in the fact that she's in a better place and she's very happy and we will definitely meet again ..I miss you so much with each passing day grandma and I promise that your Legacy will live on forever 🕊🤍🥹.I love you so much grandma.

*A Priceless Gift of Kindness* "I'll never forget the day Lady Bishop gifted me a piece of her heart. It was nine years ago, at the end of the Faith to Faith Convention, at the Accra International Conference Centre. I was celebrating my birthday, dressed up and laughing with my brother, when she called me over from across the entrance. She was resplendent in her purple bishop's attire, having been consecrated just the day before 😊. With a warm smile, she pressed her earrings into my hand, saying they'd match my outfit perfectly. I was amazed by her kindness, and asked to take a picture with her. She obliged, and I've treasured that moment ever since. The earring remains a symbol of her generosity and vision for the best in people. Thank you, Lady Bishop, for showing me what it means to invest in others with love and kindness 🙏🏿."

Tribute to a Mother From Afar Sometimes, life brings strangers into our lives who become family in ways we never expect. Meeting you in the ward on that special day when both your sweet daughter and i welcomed new lifes into the world was not a coincidence , it was a blessing. At a time when I was in pain and vulnerable, you showed me kindness that I will never forget. Even though you did not know me, you prayed for me, comforted me, and checked on me like I was your own child. Your gentle heart and selfless love spoke louder than words ever could. I remember how you never hesitated to show care. You prayed and lay hands on me ,indeed your prayers kept me .You always asked about me, and on the day you came to take your daughter home, you handed over all your bottled water to me. That simple but powerful act showed the kind of beautiful soul you were generous, thoughtful, and full of love. Even after we left the ward, you continued to ask about me. You became a mother from afar, someone I did not know for long, yet you left a permanent mark on my heart. Hearing about your passing is deeply painful, but I find comfort knowing that your life touched many people, including me. Your kindness, prayers, and love will always stay with me, and I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed. May your gentle and loving soul rest peacefully. You may be gone from this world, but the warmth of your heart will never be forgotten. Thank you for being a blessing in my life.

Mummy, you were an amazing woman, a mother to many and a joy to be around. Every encounter with you clearly showed the kind of mother you were: loving, caring, and completely selfless. During my last visit to Ghana, within just a few seconds of us talking, you went straight into making sure we had everything we needed. That was just who you were. Anytime I saw you, I never left empty handed, it was either new jewellery or a new blouse and that was not because I ever asked, but because giving came so naturally to you. You truly embodied the heart of a true mother. You were one of a kind, and I will truly miss you. Though we are sad here, I am comforted knowing that you are in a better place. And even though you had so much love for all of us, I know that if given the choice, you would still choose to be with our Heavenly Father. We miss you, we love you, and we will forever carry the amazing memories of you in our hearts. Rest well, Mummy.

My first encounter with Mummy’s generous heart was just a few months into our marriage, when we experienced a robbery at home. The thieves took a bag containing all the cloth presented to me during our traditional marriage as well as my wedding jewelry. When she heard about it, she called me into her office, encouraged me, and gifted me a beautiful piece of fabric, reminding me that God would always give me more than enough. And oh yes — He has. I have kept that fabric for years. That was Mummy. You never left her office empty-handed. My last baby was one of the children who frequented her office after church for one treat or another. He was quite a handful, but she always had time for him. When I lost my mum, she was there for me from day one. When my world fell apart, her prayers and encouragement sustained me. I was out of town when I received the news of my mother’s passing. As soon as I arrived in Accra, she was in my house with Bishop to commiserate and comfort me. Their prayers and words of encouragement steeled me for the long and arduous journey to Cape Coast, knowing I would not see my precious mother alive again. When I was quarantined alone in my room during the COVID-19 storm, she reached out every morning with scripture and prayer directions until I was fully restored. She was a woman of bold faith and prayer whose life continually challenged me. Every encounter with her left me with spiritual insight and meaningful life lessons. Mummy could gist and rebuke in equal measure — loving, firm, generous, and deeply invested in the lives she touched. That was Mummy. That is the Mother God has called home, the General who has laid down her sword to take up her crown! While she is sorely missed here on earth, I can only imagine her joy in being at home with her Lord and Saviour! Dance on with your Jesus Mummy! Your legacy lives on! Forever in our hearts!
